Standard First Aid with CPR Level C

Duration

Classroom: 13-14 hours of teaching time

Blended: 8 hours of online learning*, 5.5-7.5 hours of teaching time

This is a comprehensive two-day course providing first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills for those working in an environment that requires training, or for the general public to use to respond to emergencies. This course meets legislative requirements set by provincial worker safety and insurance boards and includes the latest first aid and CPR guidelines.

This course is taught by a certified Red Cross first aid instructor, and will grant each successful participant with a certificate in Standard First Aid, CPR Level A, C, or HCP, and AED for a duration of 3 years.

Successful completion of this course is based on:

  • 100% attendance and participation
  • 75% minimum passing grade on a written, closed book knowledge evaluation
  • Adherence to the fundamental principals

Emergency First Aid & CPR Level C

This is a basic one-day course offering an overview of first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills for the workplace or home. This course meets OHS regulations for Basic First Aid using the latest first aid and CPR guidelines. In this course we provide an increased value by including injury prevention content, CPR and AED instruction which exceeds many of our competitor’s standards.

This course is taught by a certified Red Cross first aid instructor or instructor trainer, and will grant each successful participant with a certificate in Emergency First Aid, CPR Level A, C, or HCP, and AED for a duration of 3 years.

Successful completion of this course is based on:

  • 75% minimum passing grade on written exam

Courses on cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) provide the needed skills to recognize and respond to cardiovascular emergencies and choking for adults, children, and babies depending on the selected CPR level.

All courses meet legislative requirements for provincial worker safety and insurance boards, and include the latest CPR guideline and training in the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED)

This course is taught by a certified Red Cross CPR or First Aid instructor, and will grant each successful participant with a certificate in CPR Level A, C or HCP for a duration of 3 years.

  • 75% minimum mark on written knowledge evaluation

Duration

Classroom: 16 hours of teaching time

This course is a comprehensive two-day course that offers lifesaving first aid, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and injury prevention skills and knowledge, with a focus on childhood injuries and illnesses.

This course meets legislative requirements for provincial early childhood education and day care worker safety through using the latest first aid and CPR guidelines.

This course is taught by a certified Red Cross First Aid instructor, ad will grant the successful participant a 3-year certificate in Standard Child Care First Aid.

Successful completion of this course is based on:

  • 75% minimum mark on written knowledge evaluation
