This is a comprehensive two-day course providing first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills for those working in an environment that requires training, or for the general public to use to respond to emergencies. This course meets legislative requirements set by provincial worker safety and insurance boards and includes the latest first aid and CPR guidelines.
This course is taught by a certified Red Cross first aid instructor, and will grant each successful participant with a certificate in Standard First Aid, CPR Level A, C, or HCP, and AED for a duration of 3 years.
Successful completion of this course is based on:
- 100% attendance and participation
- 75% minimum passing grade on a written, closed book knowledge evaluation
- Adherence to the fundamental principals
